As a Tier 1 Field Service Provider in the Metering Industry, Macquarie Electric provides:


Core metering field services:

• Replacing legacy (Type 6 and Type 5 MRIM) meters with advanced (Type 4) whole-current and CT meters.

• Installing advanced meters for new connections.

• Modifying existing Type 4 metering installations, including upgrades or the addition/removal of controlled loads.

• Providing additional services such as fault resolution

  • What training do I need to complete to become a meter technician?

    To become a meter technician, you must first be a qualified electrician. From there, additional specialised training through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is required to enter the metering field.
